    Annual Social Gathering

    On 5th Jan 2020, JSS SMCS held its Annual Social Gathering in the Sannidhi Hall in the JSS College premises. The programme began at 11 am with the arrival of the chief guest. At the outset 2 minute silence was held as a mark of respect for Shri Shri Pejawar Swamiji whose recent sad demise has plunged the devotes in a pall of gloom.

    The ‘Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony’ was done along with the lilting notes of a bhajan, sung by Kumari. Sakshi Kallur. A plant sapling was ceremoniously potted and watered by the Chief Guest Shri. G B Kulkarni, Plant Manager, Tata Hitachi, Dharwad to mark the occasion.

    The Principal Smt. Sadhana S warmly welcomed the gathering also highlighting the tremendous progress achieved by the school over the last academic year. This was followed by the honouring of the dignitaries. The prize distribution ceremony sow a wide ranging array of prizes given to outstanding achievers in all aspects of the teaching learning equilibrium.

    Kumari. Girija M Hegde was specially honoured for her Board Results 2018-19 – 497/500, II Rank Chennai Region, III Rank All India.

    All the std X teachers were also honoured. Kumari. Keerti Patil won the Best Allrounder award, Kumari. Ritwika Nair, the Best Girl Award and Master Suryanarayan Khannur, the Best Boy Award. Master Vrushabh Upadhye won the Best Sportsperson Award and Kumari. Prateeksha Guggari won the Best Sports person Girl Award.

    Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest Shri. G B Kulkarni advised students to work hard to achieve their set goals.

    Smt. Shailaja Baichwal proposed the vote of thanks and also anchored the event. A cultural extravaganza followed with some excellent dances like the inaugural dance, the Bajarangi dance, the Navadurga dance, the Act of Courage Dance and the like which kept the audience enraptured.

    The patriotic dance brought up the rear. The function ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
